4to. 10 x 7.5 inches. 48 pp. Bound in original blue cloth, gilt, with lack titles, and borders on front board, in unclipped pictorial dust wrapper with edge wear and neatly repaired cuips and tears. A little sunning of spine and foxing of flyleaves and title page; otherwise a very good copy. Illustrated by 31 black and white photographs, including frontispiece and by map. A short account of Captain Scott's Terra Nova expedition of 1910-12 illustrate by original photographs taken by H. G. Ponting and others. A retelling, using Scott's diaries, based on a radio broadcast by Howard Percival Marshall (1900-73), pioneering live broadcaster and sports commentator and war correspondent. First published 1936.
