Folio. 8.5 x 10.75 inches. [18] + [216] pp. unpaginated. Separate title page for South Wales but register is continuous. Illustrated by 2 engraved title pages and 102 pages of engraved steel plates, two to a page. These two volumes in one formed Vol. 5-6 of Jones' Views of the Seats, Mansions, Castles, etc. of Noblemen and Gentlemen in England, Wales, Scotland, and Ireland, [1829]-1830. Henry Gastineau (1790/91-1876) who drew the plates was a landscape painter in water colour who also made numerous contributions to topographical publications.
