4to. 10.75 x 8.5 inches. 141 + [1] pp. In pictorial light blue card wrapper with brown cloth spine. A little wear to extremities and some foxing of margins, but otherwise a very good copy. Illustrated by 6 colour plates numbered in text and throughout by photographic images. Extensive and well illustrated 1939 catalogue of Toogood and Sons, Ltd., Seed Growers and Merchants of Southampton, founded in 1815. The firm continued to trade under the Toogood name until the 1960s. It includes vegetable seeds and plants lawn requisites, flower seeds and bulbs, horticultural equipment, labels, etc.
