First published in February 1941. A verse novel of England written 'in her hour of trial and danger.' Alice Duer Miller (1874-1942) was a US novelist and screen writer, many of whose works were made into films, including this title as The White Cliffs of Dover (1944). The White Cliffs proved immensely popular on both sides of the Atlantic, selling nearly one million copies.
