Notes
First published in 1780, the early issues of this little guide, all dated 1780, have very eccentric pagination and Goulden lists five variants. This issue conforms almost entirely to number three, giving it a date after March 5th but before July 27th 1782.
A very attractive Tunbridge Wells guide with a fine collection of wood engravings, paying particular attention to the major country seats, which are described in detail with lists of paintings.
