A little browning of flyleaves and light spotting of edges; otherwise a very good clean copy. Signature of C. F. Sturges Hinton St. Mary 1934 on second free endpaper. Bookseller's stamp of B. Hanks Clock House Sturminster Newton, Dorset on rear pastedown. Illustrated by line drawings in text and on half title. A light hearted account of the history, equipment and playing of the game known to Samuel Pepys as Shuffleboard. By Trelawney Dayrell-Reed, poet and historian, known for his books on dark age history. A scarce title.
