This new study considers new interpretations on their synthesis of landscape evolution and presents the results of more recent research. Chapters by the different contributors include the Tertiary evolution of the south-east, sarsens, the North Downs of Surrey, glaciation of the London Basin, the rivers Thames and Kennet and the weathering and erosion of the chalk.
