TWO VOLUMES. 4to. 10 x 7 inches. Volume I, xx + [ii] + 400 pp.; Volume II, viii + [ii] + 401-839 + [1] pp. Title page in brown and black. Bound in half red over cream cloth, gilt. A little wear to extremities, including head and tail of spine, but otherwise a very good copy. Illustrated by 62 pages of black and white plates. Catalogue of the collection started in 1932 by Lord Rothschild (1910-90), later zoologist and public servant, as a Cambridge undergraduate. Volume I contains author entries, A-O and Volume II, P-Z, followed by entries for presses and bindings. Appendices I-III list the Poley Collection of Pamphlets, the Rolle Collection of Plays and the Mordaunt Letters. At the end are indexes of titles, manuscripts and a general index. The collections are housed in the Library of Trinity College, Cambridge. The catalogue was first published in 1955.
