Bound in art deco design blue cloth, in pictorial dust wrapper with edge wear and chips at head and tail of spine, which is sunned. Deckled edges. Extremities a little worn and spine lightly sunned. Both endpapers have brown stains on inside edges where offsetting has occurred; otherwise a very good copy. A work of fantasy fiction, in which an angel is cast out of Heaven by mistake and charged with tempting men on earth, however he finds himself unfitting for this work and falls in love instead. By Helen Beauclerk (1892-1969), writer and translator, who lived with Edmund Dulac (1882-1953), the artist and illustrator of this novel from 1924. An attractively designed volume in art deco style.
