FIRST EDITION THUS. 8vo. 7.5x 5.5 inches. xviii + 140 pp. Bound in original red cloth, gilt, in price clipped pictorial dust wrapper, which has minor edge wear at head and tail of spine, which is sunned. Lower corners bumped and traces of foxing on top edge; otherwise a very good copy. A work of fiction by the Andalusian novelist, Pedro Antonio de Alarcon (1833-91), first published as El Nino de la Bola in 1880. Translated by the poet and novelist, Robert Graves (1895-1985), who wrote the historical introduction.
