Illustrated by text figures. Decorated by vignette and by publisher's device on title page. A comprehensive scholarly bibliography of literature published in Britain on the horse, 1851-1976. It is arranged in six chronological periods, each divided by the headings, General, Horsemanship, Horsemastership (including veterinary and farriery), Horse and the Arts, and generalia of the horse (including reference and systematic works).
