A little wear of extremities and sunning of spine, but otherwise a very good clean copy. Prize label and stamp of Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to Coppersmith Apprentice in Sheerness. Illustrated by numbered text figures, including photographs and diagrams. Scarce publication on the gyroscope and its applications. By Valentine Edward Johnson (1868-1946), who also published on mathematics, ancient science, modern inventions and model aeroplaning.
