Lower right hand corner stained throughout, but otherwise a very good copy. 1933 gift inscription on front pastedown. Illustrated by 4 colour plates numbered in text and by drawings including frontispiece, whole page and vignettes, some in outline colour or in comic strip format or silhouettes. Decorated by title page vignette. Well illustrated prose story and verses for small children, reflecting the racial and social attitudes of the era.
