Extremities a little worn and foxing of page edges; otherwise a very good copy. Illustrated by coloured map endpapers and by frontispiece. The twenty-fifth novel of Hammond Innes (1913-98), known for his thrillers set in hostile environments. The action here takes place in Shetland waters and features a giant oil-rig cut adrift in a storm.
