FIRST EDITION. Large 8vo. 9.75 x 6.75 inches. 352 pp. Bound in original green cloth, gilt, with publisher's device blind stamped on front board, in unclipped pictorial yellow dust wrapper. A fine copy. Illustrated throughout in black and white, sepia and colour, including frontispiece. Decorated by half title vignette and by publisher's device on title page. A study of the landscape artist John Nash (1893-1977), also examining the career of his wife, Christine Kuhlenthal (1895-1976), and with numerous references to his relationships with his fellow artists. Arranged by seven chapters based on places of significance to the life of John Nash. The author was co-curator of the Towner Art Gallery Eastbourne touring exhibition of the same name. The foreword is by David Dimbleby broadcaster,author and journalist, Chair of Trustees at the Towner Gallery. An attractively produced and illustrated volume in fine condition.
