Rough cut edges. Some wear to extremities, including spine and foxing of fore edge and on to margin edges; otherwise a very good copy. Decorated by publisher's device on verso of half title. The penultimate, and considered to be the most cheerful of Hardy's poetry collections, these old and new verses are often pastoral in tone and recall characters from his earlier fiction.
