The ninth edition (preface dated 1904) of the classic book by the Rev. Thomas Stanley Treanor (1873-1910). The first edition of this work on the Goodwins, the Deal boatmen and their luggers and rescues from ships wrecked on the Goodwin Sands by the crews of the Deal lifeboats, was published in 1892.
We have another copy of this edition, bound in blue cloth, with a half title and an inscription on first free endpaper.
