Very lightest of wear to extremities, front inside hinge cracked but holding. First and last gatherings a trifle foxed but otherwise a very good clean copy.

The Almugavares, a Free Company of foot soldiers from Catalonia and Aragon, had a remarkable and bloody history. Under Roger de Flor they were first employed and then betrayed by the Byzantine Empire, on which they wreaked a terrible revenge. Their subsequent exploits were no less bloody and exciting.
