Notes
A detailed account of homeopathic remedies in the treatment of disorders of the digestive system. Dr Gottlieb Heinrich Georg Jahr (1800-75) was born in Saxony and studied medicine at the University of Bonn after coming under the influence of Dr Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of homeopathy. He followed the latter to Paris and practised there for some thirty years. Jahr was a prolific writer, one of his best known works being Klinsche Anweisungen zu Homoopathischer Behandlung der Krankheiten (1835), translated into English as Manual of Homeopathic Medicine (1838) ( and several later editions). This 1859 study of digestive disorders does not appear to have been translated from the French. Scarce homeopathic work in a handsome binding.
