Notes
View of the railway facing east emerging from the tunnel as it exits Folkestone into the Warren on its way to Dover. The massive cutting necessary to lay the line is once again enormous in its scale. It can be seen from this picture that the Warren itself was being farmed at this time, as hedgerows criss-cross the land to the north side of the railway line.
