Large 8vo. 9.75 x 8 inches. 144 pp. Title page in red and black with some headings and captions, etc. Bound in blue and white patterned stiff card boards with no titles. A fine copy, as new. Illustrated throughout in sepia, including frontispiece, and in colour. Pictorial endpapers. An account of the design partnership of Phyllis Barrron (1890-1974) and Dorothy Larcher (1884-1952), textile designers and printers, who revived the art of hand block-printing. Their business, using a wide variety of fabrics, ran from 1923 to the outbreak of the war. This study is a collaboration between the Craft Studies Centre, Farnham, Christopher Farr Cloth and Ivo Prints, bringing back into production a selection of the designers' original work.
